Davos: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today held a bilateral meeting with King Philippe, Kingdom of Belgium, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Summit here. The Chief Adviser also engaged in bilateral talks with Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand, during the summit. Additionally, Prof Yunus met with Wolfgang Schmidt, Head of the Federal Chancellery and Federal Minister for Special Tasks, Federal Chancellery of Germany.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder mentioned that Prof Yunus is experiencing a busy day with plans to participate in 14 meetings. He is also scheduled to meet with Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and daughter of the UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as well as Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank.
Yesterday, on January 21, Prof Yunus attended six programs in Davos. He held discussions with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at the summit. Furthermore, Prof Yunus met with Finland President Alexander Stubb and joined a meeting with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, all on the sidelines of the summit.
