Dhaka: The National Monitoring and Law and Order Committee has made a decision to impose Section 144 around SSC exam centers across the country during the upcoming Secondary and School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations. The resolution was reached during a meeting of the Committee held at the Ministry of Education, chaired by education advisor Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Ministry of Education published a circular on Saturday to formalize this decision. The authorities have also decided to keep all coaching centers closed for a period of 34 days during the examination period. The written and theoretical examinations for the SSC are scheduled to commence on April 10 and will conclude on May 13.

All candidates are required to enter the examination center and be seated at least 30 minutes before the examination begins. If any candidate arrives at the examination center more than 30 minutes after the scheduled time, their details including name, roll number, entry time, and reason for delay must be recorded in the register. However, no candidate will be permitted to enter the examination center or participate in the examination after the 30-minute window has passed.

The list of late-arriving examinees must be forwarded to the concerned board by the center secretary daily. Candidates are prohibited from carrying any digital device into the exam centers, and the responsibility for maintaining the security of the question sets will fall to the executive magistrates.

The circular also stated that law enforcement agencies and the district administration will take strict legal action against those involved in leaking question papers, providing answers to candidates, or violating any regulations.
