The realtors have urged the government to revise the Detailed Area Plan (DAP) considering the realities of future in Dhaka city.
The Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) leaders met with LGRD Minister Md Tazul Islam Wednesday at the secretariat.
REHAB President Alamgir Shamsul Al-Amin highlighted inconsistencies in DAP including unusual caps on the height of buildings in different areas across the capital.

If the new DAP is implemented, real estate’s linkage industries, developers and above all the economy will suffer, he added.
Tazul, also the convener of the cabinet committee on DAP review, said any issue regarding the floor area ratio (FAR), an index to determine the size and height of a building, in the DAP areas will be resolved through discussion.
