Dhaka: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has proposed seeking assistance from foreign embassies to facilitate the overseas treatment of individuals injured during the July-August revolution. While addressing the July Shaheed Srimiti Foundation meeting, he emphasized the importance of preparing comprehensive medical history reports to support this initiative.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prof Yunus highlighted that many embassy officials who were in Bangladesh during the critical months of July and August have shown sympathy towards those injured. He expressed confidence that these officials would provide necessary support in arranging medical treatment abroad for the critically injured.
Prof Yunus reiterated the urgency of compiling detailed medical history reports for the injured individuals, which would serve as a crucial step in seeking embassies’ help. The meeting he addressed was the third central executive council meeting of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation, held at the State Guest
House Jamuna.
The meeting was chaired by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and attended by notable figures including Health Adviser Nurjahan Begum, Social Welfare Adviser Sharmin S Murshid, July Shaheed Smriti Foundation Chief Executive Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdha, and its General Secretary Sarjis Alam.
