Hasina, 125 Others Accused in Attempted Murder of Fish Trader.

Dhaka: A case was filed against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 125 others for attempting to murder a fish trader during the recent anti-discrimination student movement with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court here today. The legal proceedings were initiated following the alleged involvement of the accused in an attack on Imran Hossain, a fish trader, in the Kutubkhali area under Jatrabari, in the capital.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the case was lodged with the court of metropolitan magistrate (MM) Joshita Islam. The court, after recording the complainant’s statement, instructed the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to submit the investigation report by January 12. Among the 125 accused are notable figures such as former minister and general secretary of Awami League (AL) Obaidul Quader, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former ministers Amir Hossain Amu and SM Rezaul Karim, and former lawmaker Najibul Baashar Majbhandari.

ed to the court that he sustained critical bullet injuries during the anti-discrimination students’ movement in the Kutubkhali area on July 18. The attack was allegedly executed by a group of armed terrorists acting on orders from the accused individuals. Imran was subsequently taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition where he received extensive medical treatment. Following his recovery, he filed the case with the CMM Court today.
