A case has been filed against unidentified people in connection with the robbery of a police van in the Koddar Mor area of Sirajganj sadar early Wednesday.
A sub-inspector (SI) of Bogura’s Sonatala police station filed the case at Bangabandhu Bridge West police station on Thursday night, said Mosaddek Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bangabandhu Bridge West police station.
Earlier, a team of Bogura police was attacked and robbed by criminals while they were returning from Dhaka after a successful rescue operation.
At knifepoint, criminals robbed their walkie-talkie, two mobile phones, gold ornaments and money, added the OC.
“Efforts are on to arrest the criminals under the direction of Superintendent of Police Arifur Rahman Mandal,” said OC Mosaddek.
