Bärbel Kofler, German lawmaker and parliamentary state secretary to the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, will visit Bangladesh from 28 October to 2 November.
She will meet ministers and attend a commemoration reception on the occasion of the “50 years of German- Bangladesh Development Cooperation” event organised by the Embassy of Germany in Dhaka.
During her visit, she will also visit some development projects in Jessore and Khulna and if possible an apparel industry.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Germany Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan and Minister (Commercial) Saiful Islam met the parliamentary state secretary recently to inform her about the bilateral diplomatic and trade relations between the two countries and possible future collaboration in various fields.
She was happy to be briefed on the issues of mutual interests and thanked the ambassador.
