BSRF Executive Committee Discusses Journalist Healthcare with Adviser Mahfuj Alam

Dhaka: Members of the executive committee of the Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters’ Forum (BSRF) met with Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Mahfuj Alam this afternoon at his ministry in Bangladesh Secretariat here.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BSRF President Masudul Hque informed the adviser that the Ministry of Public Administration had previously decided to provide healthcare services to journalists working at the Secretariat beat with accreditation cards through the Secretariat clinic. However, despite a letter sent to the Department of Health Services on December 22, 2024, requesting necessary measures, the decision is yet to be implemented.



In this regard, Masudul Hoque sought the adviser’s cooperation for the introduction of healthcare facilities for the accredited journalists. He also requested that journalists with accreditation cards be allowed to enter the Secretariat through Gate No. 5, in addition to Gate No. 1.



In response, Adviser Md. Mahfuj Alam assured that the proposals made by the BSRF president would be considered sincerely. Present at the meeting were BSRF Vice-President Mynul Hossain Pinnu, General Secretary Ubaidullah Badol, and members of the executive committee.
