Govt Prioritises Women’s Development in All Sectors: Mass Communication DG

Batiaghata: Mass Communication Department Director General (current charge) Md. Abdul Jalil today emphasized the government's commitment to prioritizing women's development across all sectors. He made these comments while speaking at a yard meeting focused on the 'Awareness Campaign on Child, Adolescent and Women Development' project, held at the residence of Pradip Kumar Roy in Batiaghata upazila.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the project is part of a Government of Bangladesh-funded programme for the fiscal year 2025-26, administered by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Abdul Jalil also called on parents to ensure their children receive proper education and highlighted the significance of the ongoing typhoid vaccination campaign targeting children aged nine months to fifteen years.

The event saw participation from local officials and women, who engaged in discussions about the project's objectives and impact. Following the meeting, Abdul Jalil visited the Khulna Divisional District Information Office, where he inspected the proposed site for a modern Information Complex at Noornagar.
