BNP Candidate Pinak Pledges Development and Employment in Dinajpur-2

Dinajpur: Sadiq Riaz Pinak Chowdhury, the BNP candidate for Dinajpur-2 constituency in the upcoming 13th national parliament election, has committed to executing planned development initiatives aimed at benefitting his constituency’s residents. Pinak Chowdhury emphasized his dedication to fostering employment opportunities and establishing a corruption-free environment in Biral and Bochaganj upazilas.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Pinak Chowdhury, in an interview with BSS Dinajpur district correspondent Rostam Ali Mandal, outlined his vision for developing Biral and Bochaganj upazilas. He stressed the importance of ensuring safety for the people and improving their quality of life, promising to focus on creating a safe town if elected. Additionally, he aims to operationalize the Biral land port and revitalize the closed Setabganj sugar mill, thereby generating employment through potential rice mill industries in the region.

Pinak Chowdhury also addressed the importance of adhering to the elector
al code of conduct, instructing party leaders and workers to comply with the Election Commission’s regulations. He assured that campaign materials were promptly removed following the election schedule announcement.

On the topic of the upcoming referendum on the July Charter, Pinak Chowdhury expressed his party’s stance against fascism, advocating for a ‘yes’ vote. He acknowledged the government’s role in encouraging voter participation in the referendum, emphasizing his commitment to motivating voters to support the initiative.

Reflecting on the upcoming parliamentary elections, Pinak Chowdhury conveyed his hope for a significant victory, citing the regained freedom of the electorate to cast their votes. He noted that the Dinajpur-2 constituency, comprising Biral and Bochaganj upazilas, includes two municipalities, 18 unions, and 116 polling stations, with a total voter count of 371,478, split almost equally between male and female voters.

Mukaram Hossain, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis candidate Jobayer Sayeed, and independent candidates Anwar Chowdhury Jibon and ANM Bazlur Rashid Kalu.
