Akhter Hossen Calls on Bangladeshi Expatriates to Contribute to Nation Building

Dhaka: National Citizen Party (NCP) Member Secretary Akhter Hossen has urged Bangladeshi expatriates to play a pivotal role in constructing a new Bangladesh. Addressing an event titled “NRB Connect Day: Empowering Global Bangladeshis” at a local hotel, Akhter emphasized the importance of expatriates in the country’s future development.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Akhter highlighted the significance of the July Uprising in paving the way for new leadership in Bangladesh. He called for the proactive involvement of expatriates to support this evolving leadership landscape. Akhter stressed that the new generation in Bangladesh is committed to accountability and ensuring the rights of all citizens.



In his address, Akhter also underscored the National Citizen Party’s commitment to securing voting rights for non-resident Bangladeshis, noting that the party has taken a firm stance on this issue.



The event featured a keynote speech by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus. Other notable attendees included BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, BNP leader Humayun Kabir, Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer Syeed Abdullah Muhammad Taher, Jamaat leader Mohammad Nakibur Rahman, and NCP First Senior Joint Member Secretary Dr Tasnim Jara.
