Rome: A Bangladesh delegation led by Agriculture and Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has participated in the World Food Forum 2025 in Rome, Italy. The event, organized at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, began on October 10 and will continue until October 17.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the delegation also includes Agriculture Secretary Dr. Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian and Additional Secretary (PPC Wing) Dr. Md. Mahmudur Rahman. They are scheduled to engage in various sessions of the forum, sharing Bangladesh’s experiences on agriculture, food, and nutrition security while engaging in dialogue with other member states.
During the visit, Adviser Jahangir Alam Chowdhury is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Italy’s Interior Minister, highlighting the diplomatic engagements beyond the forum’s primary agenda.
