Kishoreganj: A two-year-old boy drowned in a water body in the Barakharchar Purbapara area of Kuliarchar municipality of the district today. The deceased was identified as Farhad, son of Md. Faisal Mia of the area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, family sources reported that Farhad's mother was preparing to cook with the child by her side around 7 am. After a short while, the family began searching for Farhad when they realized he was missing. Eventually, they discovered him lying upside down in the dirty water of a hole near their home.
Farhad was swiftly rescued and initially taken to Kuliarchar Upazila Health Complex. Subsequently, he was transferred to Bhagalpur Zahurul Islam Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Kuliarchar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Helal Uddin confirmed the incident.
