Seeds and Fertilizers Distributed to Farmers in Lalpur Upazila

Natore: The government has embarked on a program to distribute seeds and fertilizers to 7,720 small and marginal farmers in Lalpur upazila. This initiative aims to support the cultivation of Robi crops during the current agricultural season.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Julhas Hossain Sourav officially launched the agricultural input distribution program at the upazila agricultural training hall on Sunday. The inauguration event also featured speeches from Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Abdullah and several beneficiary farmers, with the session being presided over by Upazila Agriculture Officer Pritam Kumar Hore.

As part of the program, farmers are receiving seeds for wheat, peanut, winter onion, mustard, lentils, and khesari pulses, in addition to essential chemical fertilizers, to cultivate one bigha of land.
