Manikganj: Nepalese forward Ayush Ghalan scored a brace as Bangladesh Police Football Club notched their third win in the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) beating Arambagh Krira Sangha by 3-0 goals held at Shaheed Miraj-Tapan Stadium in Manikganj today (Friday).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in the day’s match, Ayush Ghalan put Police ahead in the 36th minute while forward Mohammed Amirul Islam doubled the lead scoring the second goal in the 41st minute of the match. After the resumption, Ayush Ghalan sealed the victory scoring the third goal for Police in the 52nd minute of the match.
The day’s win saw Bangladesh Police FC move to third position in the league table with 13 points from eight matches while Arambagh remained with their previous credit of five points playing the same number of matches.
Meanwhile, four more matches of the league will be held tomorrow (Saturday) with PWD Sports Club taking on Fakirerpool Young Men’s Club at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur, Brothers Union facing Fortis Football Club at Birshreshtha Fl. Lt. Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj, Mohammedan Sporting Club meeting Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Munshiganj, and Bashundhara Kings meeting Abahani Limited Dhaka at Bashundhara Kings arena in the capital.
