Dhaka: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus inaugurated the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) building in the capital’s Agargaon area this morning. The event marked a significant step for the microcredit sector in the country.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the inauguration was attended by several notable figures. Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed, Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury, Bangladesh Bank Governor Ahsan H Mansur, and Microcredit Regulatory Authority Executive Vice Chairman Prof. Mohammed Helal Uddin were present at the ceremony. The new building is expected to enhance the operational capabilities of the MRA, contributing to better regulation and support of microcredit activities in Bangladesh.
