Chittagong: A one-and-a-half-year-old boy drowned in a pond at Dholoinagar village under Raozan upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was identified as Arphon Shill, son of Badal Shill, a resident of Dholoinagar village at Gohira union in Raozan upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the child was playing near the pond adjacent to their residence around 8 am when he accidentally fell into the water. Family members and locals quickly rescued him in an unconscious state and rushed to the Raozan Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
