Youths urged to enrich themselves with innovative thinking

Youths, particularly the students, should equip

and enrich themselves with innovative thinking to take the nation forward

through facing all the upcoming challenges.

Present students will be the driving forces to run the future smart

Bangladesh as the present government under the prudent and visionary

leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly to

build smart Bangladesh by 2041.

Administrative officials and academics came up with the observation while

addressing a seminar titled "Innovations being implemented in Rajshahi

division and Role of Civic Services: Future Way Forward" here today.

The Ministry of Public Administration and the Commissioner Office of Rajshahi

division jointly organised the seminar at Rajshahi College auditorium on the

second and closing day of their divisional level 'Innovation Fair-2023'.

District and upazila level offices and institutions from all eight districts

in the division set up 25 stalls showcasing various information and documents

related to public service delivery and necessary process of getting those

easily after the best uses of information and communication technologies.

Assistant Professors Sadequr Rahman and Asad-Uz-Zaman of Rajshahi College

illustrated the aspects of innovations and innovative ideas during their

keynote presentations.

Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration Amena Begum and

Joint Secretary Rafiqul Karim addressed the seminar as the chief and special

guests respectively, while Chairman of Rajshahi Development Authority Dr

Ziaul Haque spoke as focal person with Additional Commissioner Dr Moksed Ali

in the chair.

Amena Begum told the meeting that a target has been set to build Smart

Bangladesh on the basis of four pillars- Smart Citizen, Smart Government,

Smart Society and Smart Economy- by 2041.

The government is now setting up 28 IT parks in the country including one in

Rajshahi which will create jobs for three lakh youths in phases.

She said digitization is progressing encouragingly to achieve the esteemed

successes of building a digital Bangladesh where people are getting all

public services easily at their doorsteps.

Currently, the government is pledged to build smart Bangladesh and the

students to get ready to run the developed Bangladesh competently, she added.
