A fire that broke out at a godown of a factory in Tongi of the district this noon has been brought under control.
The fire broke out around 1:30pm at Hossain Dyeing and Printing Mills in Pagar area, said Senior Officer at Tongi Fire Service Iqbal Hasan.
He said, being informed, three units of Tongi Fire Services rushed to the spot. Later, two units of Uttora Fire Service joined with them.
After one and half an hour effort, the firefighting units managed to douse the flames completely at around 2.45 pm.
The reason behind the fire could not be known.
