Shibganj: A youth died after being electrocuted at Kashipur-Mokamtala village in Shibganj upazila of the district today. The deceased was identified as Imran Hossain, 27, son of Nazrul Islam, a resident of the same area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sarwar Parvez, in-charge of Mokamtala Police Investigation Center, stated that Imran came in contact with an electric wire while he was repairing an electricity line at his home around 10 am. The incident occurred as Imran was undertaking maintenance work, which led to the tragic accident.
Following the accident, Imran was immediately taken to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. Despite efforts to save him, the on-duty doctor declared Imran dead upon arrival at the medical facility. The incident has left the local community in shock and mourning.
