World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2026 Celebrated in Narail

Narail: World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2026 was commemorated in Narail, organized by the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Narail Unit. The event emphasized the importance of enhancing humanitarian efforts for communities vulnerable to disasters.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the day’s activities included a rally in the town followed by a discussion session at the Zila parishad hall room. The discussion was chaired by Mostafizur Rahman Alek, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Narail Unit Chairman, and District Council Chairman. District Unit Secretary Advocate Mahbub Morshed Japal also addressed the gathering.



Prominent figures such as former Chairman of Narail Sadar Upazila Parishad Md. Monirul Islam, BNP leader Tabibur Rahman Monu Jamaddar, and Syed Taqiur Rahman attended the event. Members of the Red Crescent Society Narail Unit, including Khandaker Kiamul Hasan Kiam, Arman Ali Khan, Madhumita Sultana, life member Md. Sultan Molla, and other officials, were present as well.



Speakers at the event emphasized the critical role of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in global humanitarian efforts. They praised the dedication of Red Crescent volunteers in responding to natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies, highlighting their essential contributions to society.
