U-18 Women’s Kabaddi Talent Hunt Set to Kick Off at Riya Gope Women’s Sports Complex

Dhaka: An inter-district U-18 women’s kabaddi talent hunt programme is poised to commence at the Riya Gope Women’s Sports Complex in the capital tomorrow. Youth and Sports Secretary Mahbub-Ul Alam is expected to inaugurate the five-day event as the chief guest, according to a press release.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) general secretary SM Newaz Shohag will attend the opening ceremony as a special guest. The closing ceremony, scheduled for July 6, will feature National Sports Council secretary Md Aminul Islam (joint secretary) as the chief guest, who will also distribute certificates to the participating players. BKF general secretary SM Newaz Shohag will reprise his role as a special guest during the closing event.



The programme, organized by the Bangladesh Women’s Sports Association, will see a total of sixty players from various districts across the country participating. This initiative aims to scout and nurture young kabaddi talent, providing a platform for aspiring athletes to showcase their skills.
