Sylhet: The Women’s national team will play three matches against the Bangladesh Under-15 boys team as part of their preparation for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. The three matches are scheduled to be held on September 8, 11, and 14 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) earlier organized the Women’s Challenge Cup, where Women’s Red, Women’s Green, and the U15 boys participated. The U15 boys team emerged victorious in all their matches against the two women’s teams. As there are no international matches scheduled for the Women’s team ahead of the World Cup, the BCB believes that playing against the U15 boys will be beneficial for the team.

After completing the three one-day matches against the U15 boys, the women’s team will return to Dhaka on September 14. They will continue their training in Dhaka for four more days before flying to Sri Lanka to participate in the World Cup. The Bangladesh Women’s team is also scheduled to play two official warm-up matches against South Africa and Sri Lanka on September 25 and 27 in Colombo.

The team will commence their World Cup journey with a match against Pakistan in Colombo on October 2. The Women’s World Cup is scheduled to take place in India and Sri Lanka from September 30 to November 2.
