Tigresses Dominate Pakistan A in Final Warm-Up Match for ODI World Cup Qualifiers

Lahore: Bangladesh Women’s team crushed Pakistan A by 167 runs in their second and final practice game for the ICC ODI World Cup Qualifiers in Lahore today. In the first warm-up match, they beat Scotland by five wickets.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Captain Nigar Sultana Joty led the team with an impressive performance, scoring 70 runs off 72 balls, which included nine fours and one six. Bangladesh set a target of 276 before being all out in 49.4 overs. Opener Farzana Hoque Pinky contributed with a half-century, while Jannatul Ferdous added a quick 46 not out from 34 balls to propel the innings in the latter stages.



In response, Pakistan A struggled and were bowled out for 109 in 39.1 overs. The Bangladesh bowlers showcased an effective performance, with Marufa Akter, Rabeya Khan, and Fahima Khatun each taking two wickets. Dua Majid was the top scorer for Pakistan A with 32 runs, and Umme-e-Hani remained unbeaten on 26.
