Three Establishments Fined in Rajshahi for Violating Consumer Rights

Rajshahi: Under the directive of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Rajshahi, drives were conducted at various shops in the city. During the summary trial, three establishments were fined a total of Taka 40,000. The drive was carried out today at RDA Market and Saheb Bazar by Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Ataullah. Court Nazir Sohel Rana confirmed the matter.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Consumer Rights Protection Act violations led to fines for three establishments. MouChak Mishtanna Bhandar at Saheb Bazar was fined Taka 10,000, Noborup Mishtanna Bhandar faced a fine of Taka 25,000, and a sari shop at RDA Market was fined Taka 5,000.



Court Nazir Sohel Rana stated that such drives will continue regularly to ensure consumer rights, environmental protection, and food safety. These measures aim to bring various offenses under the law and make Rajshahi Metropolitan City safer.
