Natore: Primary and Mass Education Adviser Prof Dr Bidhan Ranjon Ray Poddar emphasized the importance of humane relationships between primary level teachers and students to strengthen the foundation of education and develop future human resources. He shared these insights during a meeting with headmasters of primary schools and education officials at the Natore Zila Parishad auditorium.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr Bidhan highlighted that students would develop into valuable human resources if their interactions with teachers are grounded in humanity. He stressed that such relationships are crucial in schools and should be upheld by all involved.
Dr Bidhan also underscored the importance of co-curricular activities alongside the curriculum to foster morality and team spirit among students. He believes this approach will help develop efficient manpower in the future. He emphasized the need for students to attain literacy in classrooms by enhancing their proficiency in reading, mother tongue, and mathematics, which he views as essential for future success.
Highlighting the role of leadership in education, Dr Bidhan noted that the success of a school largely depends on the leadership qualities of headmasters. He pointed out that headmasters play a pivotal role in building a discrimination-free and efficient nation by maintaining good relations with guardians and local communities.
The meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner of Natore Ashma Shaheen, also featured speeches from Primary and Mass Education Secretary Abu Taher Md Masud Rana, Director General of the Primary Education Directorate Abu Nur Md Shamsuzzaman, Director (Policy and Operation) Md Kamrul Hassan, and District Primary Education Officer Md Golam Nabi.
Earlier in the day, Dr Bidhan inspected the ‘Room to Read’ activities at Boraigram Government Primary School in Boraigram upazila.
