Rangamati: Bangladesh Bank (BB) today distributed Taka 1 crore as loans among marginalized communities, including farmers, low-income professionals, and small businessmen in the district. Under its refinance scheme, the central bank provided the loans to account holders with Taka 10, Taka 50, and Taka 100 accounts.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BB Executive Director Roop Ratan Pain distributed the loans as the chief guest at a function held at the Zilla Parishad building in Rangamati. The event was presided over by Deputy Managing Director of the Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Md. A. Rahim.
A total of Taka 1 crore was distributed among 25 borrowers through 21 banks during the loan distribution ceremony.
