Dhaka: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today congratulated the Bangladesh Football Team for defeating India in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers at the Dhaka National Stadium.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in a post on his verified Facebook page, Tarique Rahman stated, “After 22 years, Bangladesh’s win over India today on the football field reminded us all of what can be achieved through discipline, unity, and belief.”
He acknowledged Sheikh Morsalin’s early goal and the team’s determination, noting that their performance has renewed hope among millions of Bangladeshis regarding the country’s sports future.
