DHAKA Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Md Tajul Islam today laid emphasis on concerted efforts to achieve the targets of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by 2030.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) is a multi-dimensional plan, he said adding that it involves human development, social development, economic development and environmental development.
He said the successful implementation of SDG depends on the people, so its localization is very important.
Local Government Division Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed presided over the meeting while Chief Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Affairs in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Zuena Aziz spoke as special guest.
Additional Secretary of Local Government Division Md. Johirul Islam and Managing Director of Dhaka Wasa Taksim A Khan, among others, addressed the workshop.
