International Noise Awareness Day 2024 was observed in the district as elsewhere in the country and the globe today with a call to raise awareness among the people about the bad impacts of noise pollution on the health and welfare of the people. Marking the day, the district administration and the Environment Department chalked elaborate programmes under the 'Integrated and Partnership Project on Noise Pollution Control' of the Environment Department. On the occasion, a rally was brought out from the premises of the Collectorate Building and ended at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office after parading the main roads of the district town this morning. Later, a discussion was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office this morning with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abu Naser Bhuiyan in the chair. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Assistant Director, Natore District Office, Department of Environment delivered the welcome speech. Additional District Magistrate Md Arif Hossain, Inspector of Police Farhad Hossain, and educationist Principal Abdur Razzak, among others, spoke.
