Sheikh Russel Swimming Competition begins in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM Sheikh Russel Club Cup Swimming Competition under the management of Bangladesh Swimming Federation begun at newly constructed Swimming Pool at outer stadium in the port city today.

City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin formally inaugurated the competition as the chief guest.

A total of 162 boys and 65 girls of 45 clubs are participating in two days competition with 44 events.

Chairman of the CJKS Swimming Committee Ehasanul Haider Chowdhury Babul and General secretary of divisional Krira Sangstha Sirajuddin Mohammad Alamgir were present among others attended the inaugural function as special guests.

The concluding ceremony of the competition will be held tomorrow evening.

Rear Admiral Mohammad Abu Ashraf of Chattogram Naval Base, Commodore Mahmudul Malek, and Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Mohammad Ilias Hossain will grace the concluding session as special guests.

Vice President of Bangaldesh Swimming Federation Tarafdar Mohammad Ruhul Amin will preside the concluding session.

Chattogram City Corporation provided Taka 15 lakh for the competition, sources said.
