Dhaka: Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Adviser Sharmeen S. Murshid on Thursday paid a courtesy call on BNP’s acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and expressed profound sorrow at the death of Begum Khaleda Zia. During the meeting, the adviser conveyed her deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sharmeen Murshid later visited the Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s (BNP) Gulshan office and signed the condolence book to pay tribute to BNP Chairperson and three-time Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. After signing the condolence book, she met the party leaders and activists present at the BNP party office. She stated that the contribution of Begum Khaleda Zia to the country’s politics will be remembered forever.
