CA Mourns Deaths in Switzerland Fire

Dhaka: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has expressed deep condolences to the President of the Swiss Confederation, Guy Parmelin, over the loss of lives in a fire incident at a ski resort in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. “I am deeply saddened to learn about the tragic fire incident at a ski resort in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, that caused the loss of many invaluable lives,” he wrote in a message to the Swiss Confederation President.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing released the message this afternoon. Prof Yunus conveyed his grief on behalf of the Government and the people of Bangladesh, extending deep condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family members of the victims and to all the people of the Swiss Confederation.



“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the victims during this period of immense grief and shock. May the Almighty bestow His mercy on the departed souls of the deceased and grant their family members the courage and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he added. Prof Yunus also expressed wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured, concluding his message with assurances of his highest considerations to President Parmelin.
