Feni:Senior income tax lawyer Kazi Golam Main Uddin, father of BSS Senior Sub-Editor Kazi Tanvir Aladin, was laid to rest in Mathiara Kazi Bari, Feni, today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, his first Namaj-e-Janaza took place at Baitus Salah Mosque in Aftabnagar after the Fajr prayer, followed by a second Namaj-e-Janaza at his village home after the Zohr prayer. He was buried beside his father and wife.
Kazi Golam Main Uddin passed away at a city hospital at 1047 pm on Friday at the age of 94, after suffering from age-related complications.
He is survived by three sons, two daughters, grandchildren, relatives, and many well-wishers. His Qulkhani will be held at his village home in Feni at noon on Tuesday.
Throughout his career, Kazi Golam Main Uddin served multiple terms as president of the Feni District Tax Lawyers Association. He was also a former general secretary of the Lions Club Feni and a founding member of Feni Law College. Additionally, he was an author of several books.
