Dhaka: A seminar titled ‘Women’s Power in Movement, Women’s Words’ was held at the National Art Gallery Auditorium here on Saturday. July Movement Martyr Naima Sultana’s mother inaugurated the event, as announced in a press release by the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, an exhibition named ‘The Brave Daughters of July’ is currently on display at the National Art Gallery. Scheduled to continue through next week, the exhibition is open to everyone, providing an opportunity for the public to engage with the historical contributions of women in the July Revolution.

The seminar and exhibition were collaboratively organized by the July Regulative Alliance, the Private University National Association of Bangladesh (PUNAB), and BSA. These events aim to spotlight the significant role women played in the recent mass movement of Bangladesh.

The exhibition showcases rare photographs of the July Revolution, along with posters, video footage, interviews with eyewitnesses, and memorials of martyrs. These elements serve to educate and remind attendees of the courage and determination shown by women during the uprising.
