Baku: Lu Alckmin, wife of Vice President of Brazil Geraldo Alckmin, called on Bangladesh Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the venue of the COP-29 global climate summit in Baku, Azerbaijan today. During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual interests.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Brazilian second lady handed over a book she wrote on the 2006 Nobel Peace Laureate to Professor Yunus. Alckmin mentioned that she has translated the book written by Professor Yunus and launched social business initiatives in Brazil after being inspired by his work.
Professor Yunus emphasized the importance of increased trade and cooperation between Bangladesh and Brazil, the largest economy in Latin America. The meeting was also attended by Senior Secretary and Principal Coordinator of SDG Affairs Lamiya Morshed.
