Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 35.2 percent, reaching US$1,697 million in the first 16 days of November, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today. This increase marks a significant uptick from the $1,255 million recorded during the same period last year.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the cumulative remittances sent by expatriates from July to November 16, 2025, of the current fiscal year amounted to $11,846 million. This figure represents a notable increase compared to the $10,193 million sent during the same period of the previous fiscal year. The growing remittance inflow underscores the vital role of overseas workers in bolstering the country’s economy.
The data highlights the positive impact of remittances on Bangladesh’s financial landscape as the country continues to rely on these funds for economic stability and growth.
