Dhaka: BDDL Properties Ltd celebrated its 24th founding anniversary through a daylong programme titled ‘Jug Jugantore,’ reaffirming its commitment to national skills development, human resource advancement, and sustainable social progress. The event, held on May 13 at Siam Agro and Training Institute at Keraniganj on the outskirts of the capital, brought together distinguished guests from different sectors, including academics, government officials, development professionals, business leaders, students, and employees of the organisation.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the programme began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by presentations highlighting the activities of BDDL’s affiliated organisations, including Skills Academy BD, bk IT Institute, Shukrishi Partner Program, BK Foundation, and Dayal Nagar Baharunnessa Public Library. Certificates were distributed among over 100 students who completed various courses under the Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework, and several new market-oriented training courses were also inaugurated.
Managing Director of BDDL Properties MA Baten Khan emphasized the company’s mission, which extends beyond constructing buildings to building people’s dreams, trust, and a secure future. The event featured speeches from notable figures such as Chairman of Tilottoma Bangla Group Joarder Nowsher Ali, former Secretary Md Selim Reza, Pro-Vice Chancellor of America Bangladesh University Prof Dr AKM Fazlul Hoque, and former Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank Mustafizur Rahman. The speakers praised BDDL and its partner organisations for their contributions to skills development, technology-based education, safe agriculture, social development, and employment generation.
The programme also included certificate distribution among trainees of Skills Academy BD, experience-sharing sessions by students of bk IT Institute, agricultural entrepreneurship initiatives under the Shukrishi Partner Program, and presentations on safe farming and commercial agricultural production. A health awareness workshop was organised with the participation of members of Rotary Club of Dhaka Blues, where Dr Hashrat Ara Begum spoke on safe motherhood, women’s health, and awareness.
Students from the Real Estate Department of Daffodil International University attended the programme to gain practical exposure to the real estate sector. The company announced its plans to expand this integrated model, focused on skills development, human development, technology, agriculture, and employment generation, across the country.
