Redowan Expects Positive Result in Semifinal Against Pakistan

Colombo: Bangladesh U-17 national football team left back player Ahasan Habib Redowan expressed his high hope to get a positive result against Pakistan in the semifinal of the SAFF U-17 Championship. Bangladesh is set to face Pakistan in the first semifinal match, which will take place at the Racecourse ground in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Thursday at 3.30 pm.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Redowan shared his thoughts through a video message, stating that after their victory against Sri Lanka, the team has completed the day’s practice following the coach’s guidelines. The team has focused on preparations for their upcoming match against Pakistan, dedicating significant time to analyzing their opponent’s strategies. Redowan expressed the team’s determination to defeat Pakistan and advance to the final.



Team’s assistant coach Mohammad Jahangir Alom Mintu mentioned that the players concentrated on identifying Pakistan’s weak and strong points during their training session. He also assured that there are currently no injury concerns within the team, and he remains optimistic about achieving a favorable outcome in the semifinal.



The Bangladesh team conducted their training session at the Kelaniya Football Academy in the afternoon. Bangladesh reached the semifinal as group champions, having secured victories over Nepal and host Sri Lanka with identical scores of 4-0 in the group stage matches.
