Prof. Yunus and Tarique Rahman to Meet in London During Official Visit

London: The meeting between Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is scheduled for June 13 in London during Prof. Yunus’s four-day official visit to the United Kingdom. This meeting was confirmed by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the details of the meeting were shared by Mirza Fakhrul during a conversation with journalists at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office. The meeting is expected to occur between 9:00 am and 11:00 am (London time) at the Dorchester Hotel, where Professor Yunus is staying.



Fakhrul mentioned that the Chief Adviser has extended an invitation to the acting chairman, and the BNP standing committee has authorized Tarique Rahman to make decisions regarding this meeting. Fakhrul expressed that the meeting is a significant event given the current political context and could have substantial implications for the nation’s political scene.



The visit by Professor Muhammad Yunus to the UK aims at strengthening bilateral relations, with the meeting forming a key part of his agenda in London.
