President for flourishing youth’s talents through sports

KISHOREGANJ President M Abdul Hamid today called for practicing sports and cultural activities to flourish the youth's latent talents properly.

Practicing healthy sports and cultural activities is a must to flourish the youth potentials in a proper way, he told a view-exchange meeting with local leaders, media personalities, ulema mashaekh and cultural personalities at Circuit House here.

The President, who is now on a weeklong visit to Kishoreganj, asked the district sports council authority to elect their representatives through election in a democratic way.

President Hamid also directed the authorities concerned of all educational institutions, specially schools and colleges, to expand the sports and cultural activities in a large scale.

Referring to the use of narcotics, the President said drug abuse is a threat to the younger generation and urged all concerned to build a social movement against drug abuse.

The head of the state also called upon the Islamic scholars and ulema mashaekh to be a part of the social movement against the contraband drugs.

Secretaries concerned to the President were present there.
