JHALAKATHI: Over 20 thousand girls have received the HPV vaccine in Jhalakathi, as part of an ongoing vaccination campaign. The initiative has reached 20,366 girls across 799 educational institutions in the district’s four upazilas as of Wednesday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Civil Surgeon Dr. HM Zahirul Islam stated that the campaign aims to vaccinate a total of 31,361 female students from Class five to Class-nine, along with 1,091 girls aged 10 to 14 years from non-academic backgrounds. The campaign, which commenced on October 24, is scheduled to continue until November 24.
