Brahmanbaria: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-9) have arrested three alleged drug peddlers with 40 kg of ‘Ganja’ from Nasirnagar upazila of the district. The arrestees are Md Sajid Mia, 23, Swapan Mia, 32, and Sabbir Mia, 27.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a joint operation team of RAB-9, CPC-3, Shaistaganj Camp, Habiganj, and CPC-1, Brahmanbaria, conducted a drive in the Nasirnagar Police Station area on Saturday. Acting on a tip-off, the team successfully apprehended the suspects with the contraband substance, a RAB official reported this morning.
A case has been filed against the arrested individuals under the Narcotics Control Act with Nasirnagar Police Station.
