One held with 12 gold bars at Shahjalal international airport

DHAKA, Jan 05, 2017 (BSS)- Customs intelligence personnel arrested a Malaysia returned passenger along with 12 gold bars weighing 1.2 kilogram from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here in the early hours of today.

The gold weighing 1.2 kilogram was seized from one Sharif Ahmed from Green Channel area of the airport, director general of customs intelligence Dr. Mainul Khan told BSS.

The estimated value of the seized gold is Taka 60 lakh, he said, adding that gold bars were kept inside Sharif's rectum.

A case was filed in this connection.
