Dhaka: Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL) today announced that the metro rail service will remain closed on the Eid-ul-Fitr day. The DMTCL made the announcement on its official website today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the metro services will remain operational on the other days of the Eid holiday. The announcement further stated that the metro rail service will continue as per its regular schedule after Eid.
Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of the Muslims, is likely to be celebrated in the country on either March 31 or April 1, depending on the sighting of the moon.
