Savar: Navy Chief Admiral M Nazmul Hasan inaugurated Bangladesh Navy School and College at Savar today. The school is situated at Chhota Kaliakoir of Birulia union under Savar Upazila. Senior officials of the Dhaka Naval Region, officials of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Boards, and local dignitaries were present on the occasion, said an ISPR press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the release stated that the school has been established with an aim to build a developed and orderly society, exposing students to the light of knowledge. Unique features of the institution include a rich library, computer lab, multimedia classroom, indoor play area, children’s park, and a spacious playground.
Later, the navy chief exchanged views with the guardians, urging them for cooperation and active participation at all levels for the promotion, expansion, and success of the school. The navy schools and colleges in different regions of the country are providing quality and timely learning to students, contributing to the development of education in the country.
Children of both military and civil backgrounds can pursue their education in the school, building them as worthy citizens, the ISPR release said.
