Captains of Bangladesh national men’s and women’s football teams Jamal Bhuiyan and Sabina Khatun have been named as the ambassadors for the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) grassroot football concept.
BFF have launched a rejuvenated grassroot football development programme for the year 2020 and beyond as a part of its commitment to develop football all over the country.
Both the national captains have agreed to act as the ambassadors in their favourite field.
In an immediate reaction, Jamal Bhuiyan said,”I feel honour to get the opportunity to work with a fresh approach as an ambassador to develop the country’s football at grassroots.”
“I am excited to be part of this concept and see if I can make a positive contribution to encourage people to get into football,” he added.
Sabina Khatun was also equally amazed and said, “My development as a player was through grassroot programmes. So the programme is very close to my heart. If I can assist anyone to get into football then I will be honoured.”
