The first namaz-e-janaza of Mahbubul Hoque Shakil, Prime Minister's special assistant, was held at the central Mosque of Dhaka University(DU) this morning.
After the namaz-e-janaza, people of all walks of life including political leaders paid their rich tributes to Shakil by placing floral wreaths on his coffin.
On behalf of the Prime Minister, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister's Office Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury placed a floral wreath on coffin of Shakil.
Press secretary to the Prime Minister Ihsanul Karim and Deputy Press Secretary Ashraful Alam Khokon also were present.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam, General Secretary of Awami League and Road Transport and Bridge Minister Obaidul Quader, Presidium Member of Awami League Dr Abdur Razzak, Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, Press secretary to the Prime Minister Ihsanul Karim, Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Abul Kalam Azad, former DU VC Prof Dr AK Azad Chowdhury and President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul, among others, attended the namaz-e-janaza.
