MTB Mymensingh Divisional Tennis Meet Inaugurated with Enthusiasm

Dhaka: The MTB Mymensingh Divisional Tennis competition has been officially inaugurated at the Ramna National Tennis Complex in Dhaka. Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan formally opened the eight-day event, which is a collaborative effort between the Bangladesh Tennis Federation (BTF) and Mymensing Club.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Chowdhury Akhter Asif, the additional managing director of Mutual Trust Bank, attended the opening ceremony as a special guest. The tournament features a total of 337 players competing in two categories: senior 35+, 45+, and 55+ (Group A) and open categories including men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles, and women’s doubles (Group B).



Participants hail from various prestigious clubs and institutions, including Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan, Police Club, American Club, National Tennis Complex, Dhanmondi Sporting Club, and several others. Additionally, players from numerous districts within the Mymensingh Division are also part of the competition.



The draw for both the senior and open events has been successfully conducted. While the open events are set to take place at the National Tennis Complex, the senior events will be held at the Mymensingh Club starting tomorrow.
