KHAGRACHHARI: A fatal road accident occurred early this morning on the Khagrachhari-Chattogram highway in the Alutila area, claiming the life of a motorcyclist and leaving another individual injured. The incident involved a collision with a cement-loaded truck that ran over the motorcyclist.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased was identified as Feroz Mia, a 20-year-old day laborer from Shilachari of Lama in the Bandarban district. Officer-in-Charge of Khagrachhari Sadar Police Station, Abdul Baten, reported that Feroz and his co-rider were traveling towards Matiranga when the accident occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m.
Emergency response teams, including police and fire service personnel, arrived at the scene promptly. The injured individuals were transported to Khagrachhari Sadar Hospital, where the on-duty doctor pronounced Feroz dead. The condition of the injured co-rider remains undisclosed.
